The Recipe

Begin with one young man

Blend gently with one young woman

Fold in one beautiful ring

Mix together in one great, romantic city

And voila! The perfect recipe for an Engagement!

Yes, indeed, we are tickled pink at the recent engagement of our son, Jim and our lovely, future daughter-in-law, Ashley.

And to celebrate this wonderful announcement, well I just HAD to fix Ashley’s Favorite Cupcakes. Truly, these cupcakes are amazing and will, from this point forward, be known as Ashley’s Favorite Cupcakes.

I wish the above photo had turned out better, but I made these cupcakes for the combined 4th of July Get-together/Engagement Party. The platter of these little morsels, when laid out, spelled “Best Wishes Jim & Ashley.”

Follow the recipe to a “T” and you won’t be disappointed! Don’t skimp on “all purpose flour” or anything other then “full fat yogurt.” I mean, c’mon, they’re cupcakes, for goodness’ sake!

Congratulations, Jim and Ashley! We love you both!

Congrats again to ‘Jimmy’ and Ashley! I’m so happy for all the family on both sides. Now we can’t wait to hear all about the wedding planning coming up. Keep us all posted!! It’s a true blessing to be able to welcome wonderful people into a family through marriage. Ashley sounds like a dream come true for Jim….
