Some Ponderables…

I’m pretty sure that this will be the last of the scrapbooking updates for the time being.  I’m sure that some of you are all, “Enough already!”  But October is our annual meet up away from home.  ‘Away’ being the qualifying word here.  Away from schedules not our own, away from everyday distractions that seemingly rob us of our scrapbooking time, and away from responsibilities.  Ok, I take that last one back.  The one responsibility that we all have, and it’s a steadfast rule…we all must shower daily or get yelled at by our fellow scrappers.

Last weekend, my Nevada scrapbooking buds and I had a cabin at Donner Lake.  We all arrived on Friday with various supplies.  We initiated a new scrapbooker into our midst and she, in turn, initiated us to a drinking game called Never Have I Ever.  It was kind of like Truth or Dare with nothing of the Dare.  You each hold up three fingers and ask a question starting with “Never have I ever _____________”.  Who ever HAS done what you stated must pull down one finger.  The person with any fingers remaining while everybody else has answered in the affirmative wins.  I won.  And the dirt I got on these ladies will go with me to my grave.

Appropriate? I think so.

But the one thing that this Croptoberfest will always remind me of is the fact that two more 3D scrappers went digitial.  I’m so proud of how fast they each picked up on the skills, taking notes and EVERYTHING.

This, for example, is one of Felia’s first all-digital layouts.   She fell head long into the digital scrapbooking world.

And Fan loved how easy it was to use SO MANY photos per page now!!  (I asked but she didn’t send me her layout.  Probably guessed I’d showcase it here!)

And now the biggest news that this past weekend brought:  Fannie took a digital lesson and did this layout!!  Yippee!!

So here, in commemoration of the Northern Nevada Croptoberfest Chapter is this:

With tongue in cheek, I HAD to show you just some of the differences of digital versus 3D scrapping.

On to upcoming news:  Be sure to check out IdiosynCrazies next week starting on Thursday, and running Friday and Monday.  We have a special Halloween treat for you!

Love,

Fae

About Fae

Although I have other blogs I do for my grandchildren, I felt it wasn't enough to satisfy my inner author. I needed a grownup blog to share things on or rant about. Purely egocentric. Hope you like it.

I love your layouts, Fae! And, Fannie, way to go! I guess I am going to have to come over to the dark side, too.
